D500

Digital SLR camera

Nikon Corporation

The prosumer D500 has the same 153-point AF system as the flagship D5. Its APS-C sensor demonstrates superior agility with high-speed continuous shooting at approx. ten fps and telephoto photography. Its compact, lightweight monocoque structure is made of rugged carbon fiber materials and magnesium alloy. Positioning the battery perpendicular to the grip has enabled a slim, deep grip that provides a firm hold even when super-telephoto lenses are used. The D500 expresses innovation and a sense of motion with a small pentaprism (no flash) that narrows at the front, seeming to point toward the subject, a basic theme behind the Nikon D-series design.
