The DAV-SR4W is a 5.1 channel DVD/super audio CD digital home theater system that achieves wireless transmission of audio signals from the main unit to the surround speakers. The designer's concept for the DAV-SR4W aimed for a look that would complement any home interior but still have a luxurious feel. The front face of the DVD player was sloped for enhanced usability and easy viewing of the display. The front edge was rounded to create a continuous line carrying on to the back, creating a design not limited to the front, but instead one with an overall sense of unity. The main unit manifests an interesting use of aluminum in the upper half, combined with the plastic molding throughout, while the speakers feature an aluminum front face with a hairline finish, creating an effect of overall continuity. The DAV-SR4W provides home users with an authentic and stylish home theater system featuring high-quality sound.
