The characters of the world – all 65,536 characters that are encoded in the basic multilingual plane of Unicode 4.0.1, codepoint by codepoint. A worldwide first-time overview of the characters that are available today on every modern PC or Mac. The research project decodeunicode, initiated by the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany, is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The poster is a teaser for the online-platform www.decodeunicode.org, which collects and stores information on each and every character. Format CityLight (1,19 x 1,75 m), three colours offset-printing.
