The primary concept is about “emptying” and “flowing” of space, which comes from Chinese traditional philosophy “Kong Wu”(means nothing at all), as "Zao Hu You; Dang Qi Wu,You Shi Zhi Yong Ye."(means just building the windows and the door to shape a room) in Tao Te Ching by Lao Csi. I try to explore its possibility in modern design from the aspects of functionality and visual communications. As to the result, "less is more,"which comes from western modern minimalism, reaches an interesting agreement with oriental philosophy "Wu Wei" (means getting everything in order by doing nothing). The relationship between them is worth discussing for eastern designers with western aesthetic educational backgrounds
