The Dell Crystal is an advanced concept, multimedia LCD monitor that emerged from an exploration of the following leading-edge technologies: slim panel LCDs, innovative sound speakers, embedded print circuitry, and single-wire cable connectivity. The resulting design fuses the technology of advanced LCDs, miniature digital camera technology, and hi-fidelity digital sound technology into a minimalist housing that is elegant, functional and innovative. Glass was selected because of its long history as a sophisticated craft material, its pride of place in home decor, its clarity and purity, and its sense of uniqueness.
