Key design tenets for the new XPS 13 2-in-1 were: Simplicity, Symmetry and Serenity. Focus areas were: 1. Simple design 2. Simple colors 3. Simple materials 4. Simple processes. A completely new form factor, taking Dell in an entirely new direction, the vision was to create a pure form, using purer processes. The balanced design and colors (Sky and Slate) emanates the pinnacle of simplification, with a Navy keyboard folio that harmonizes with both system colors. The XPS 13 2-in-1 is engineered using a simpler, more efficient manufacturing process that improves yield and decreases part waste, so it’s kinder to the environment.
