The challenge: Editorial content reflected a fresher, higher standard of journalism over the last five years, but the design retained the stuffy look of a paper for graying intellectuals. The concept: Make the paper elegant and elite, without appearing snobby or exclusive. Create a visual equivalent of the paper’s quality editorial stance. The result: An overall concept that works. A market-leading quality broadsheet and “World’s Best Designed Newspaper”.
