Urban branding

In order to position the "German Mozart City of Augsburg" as an accepted term, the icon of Mozart and its historical relationship to the city had to be visually transferred to the present. To this effect, Mozart is represented by masks and his works by copperplate prints of instruments. In the picture, citizens are thus transformed into Mozart and a spinet at a picnic is just as natural as a clarinet in the marketplace. This combination of authentic everyday life and symbolically staged highbrow culture can be applied both broadly and to specific requirements. The image style creates its own momentum on city streets and in the media.
