Leg ulcer treatment

Deva* is a design concept proposing the use of smart sensors in leg ulcer treatment to provide information on wound status for patients and nurses, thereby reducing the number of wound dressings used throughout the process. Nurses can use the different indicators to understand the status without removing and renewing wound dressings. Through a digital platform, patients can learn more about their treatment process and make positive changes to accelerate healing. The goal is to make healing more visible and understandable.

JURY STATEMENT

This concept increases both the quality of life and awareness of the patient. The data follow-up of the healing process of the leg ulcer also makes the concept very powerful.
