Die Französische Revolution

CD-ROM

“Die Französische Revolution”, the French Revolution, is a sequel of the educational software series “Geschichte digital” (digital history) and though it was primarily developed for learners aged 10 to 16 it also appeals to more advanced students. In addition to the media traditionally used in classrooms, the production offers an interactive learning method to discover and explore history. Learners get the chance to “experience” the French Revolution in two adventure scenarios. They “witness” the Convention of the Estates-General, take part in the Storming of the Bastille, and participate in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen. The scenes also contain background information that prepares for tasks and fun items and smoothes the way through the next levels. The “Geschichtsagentur”, the history agency, is a feature for practicing the methods analysis of key sources and research, and the presentation of own ideas.
