Die Kaisermacher
Historical exhibition
Magistrat der Stadt Frankfurt und vier Frankfurter Museen
Historical Frankfurt: Starting in September 2006, four museums evoke the glory of bygone days, when German emperors were elected and crowned in Frankfurt. Entitled The Emperor Makers, the exhibition marked an important occasion: the 650th anniversary of the Golden Bull (the First Constitution of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nations). With around 1,000 exhibits (many of them interactive), fascinating links to the present day and a wide range of accompanying measures, The Emperor Makers brought history to life. The biggest exhibit was the city itself. On the pavements, red dots guided visitors to 19 original sites.
