Digital Platform

This project is an online digital humanities visualization platform developed from 170 million volumes of digital files collected in Shanghai History Archives. The full-scale historical information relating to Shanghai since its opening to the world in 1843 can be visualized in a convenient and intuitive way. Coupling spatio-temporal-geographic data, humanities data with the archived map files, and setting the timeline through digital visualization means including 3D map, story mode, correlated knowledge graphs, free mode, crowdsourcing and collection, the time axis is created to present 4D Shanghai.
