Digniwrap Pads

Social Innovation in Women's Health

Digniwrap Pads is engineered to tackle period poverty and menstrual stigma, offering a cost-effective, discreet solution to women in low-income regions. By adopting the appearance of a small roll of paper, it not only increases affordability but also helps mitigate menstrual shame prevalent in areas with negative cultural perceptions of menstruation. The concept envisages specialized products for daytime and nighttime use, alongside panty liners for light menstrual flow.

JURY STATEMENT

This innovative packaging solution gives women greater discretion and dignity during their period, especially in low-income regions and in cultures where menstruation is still perceived as taboo. It can also serve as a globally applicable solution to mitigate the environmental impact of sanitary pads and their packaging.

WINNER STATEMENT

It is a great honor to receive the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD. This is both exhilarating and deeply meaningful. It reaffirms our belief that design can be a catalyst for gender equality, turning marginalized needs into dignified solutions. We're inspired to keep working for a better world.
