Disaster Response Aerial Network EVTOL Vehicle
Emergency Aerial Response System
DRAN is a revolutionary aircraft designed for disaster relief. This electrically powered VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) vehicle has a single pilot, a maximum range of 250 km, and an ultra-light body made entirely of carbon fiber. It is intended to provide speedy reconnaissance of the disaster zone, collecting and relaying data to the coordination center. It can also efficiently deliver first aid to areas that are impossible to reach by land and transport small search and rescue teams. When taking off vertically, it is five times quieter than a helicopter and can illuminate a wide area.
This concept follows an innovative design approach that is in line with current trends. It provides a great example of design led by real-world needs.
WINNER STATEMENTHaving witnessed the destruction wreaked by natural disasters such as earthquakes, we accept this award with pride and excitement. We would like to express our gratitude to the jury and everyone who made this award possible.
