Distalmotion/Dexter
Robotic system for minimally-invasive surgery
Distalmotion
Together with Swiss start-up Distalmotion, McKinsey Design have created Dexter, an advanced, minimally invasive robotic surgery system. Dexter brings surgeons back to patients and allows them to switch swiftly between manual and robotic surgery. Dexter supports optimal ergonomic posture, partly through providing the option to operate in seated or standing positions. Costing significantly less than conventional robotic surgery systems, Dexter fast-tracks the widespread adoption of minimally invasive surgical care in hospitals, allowing every patient to access its benefits.
