The cube as a perfect form and more: DMC is a distinctive media figure, housing Turkeys leading media group. Main form is a cube in respect to the square site; the cube form deformed and re-structured by cubic annex and subtraction that resulted in extra volumes. A genuine building in terms of transparency; strong in-out correlation enables a well-defined description before getting in the building. Separate sections like studios preserve their exclusivity. The emblematic use of façade resembling Braille alphabet accentuates communication is for all. The building is strongly perceived from afar and materializes as an eye-catching sign.
Built Identity - selected by Achim Nagel Clear lines characterize the architecture, while the interplay of different surfaces breaks up those clear lines and thus makes the building interesting and unique. The protruding elements of the façade set themselves apart from the glass surface, thus giving the impression as if they were shaded with a pencil. This results in a unique and lasting impression.
