Metro train

The head of “Al Faras” ˗ the Arabian mare, was the inspiration for the front-end design of the Doha Metro train. It will be the face of the new public transport system for the fast growing population of Qatar. The exterior as well as the interior design deeply consider local cultural elements formally and in the choice of the colors and patterns, to be seen for example in the unique shape of the side windows as well as in the sophisticated and differentiated floorplan. The three-class interior reflects the values of the local culture, with traditional seat arrangements and a dedicated Family Class with special seats for women with children.
