DOTE addresses the problem of urinary incontinence among the elderly, which negatively affects quality of life. This urination measurement and reminder pad is equipped with an electromyography (EMG) sensor, which acts as the missing link between the central nervous system and the bladder. The EMG sensor monitors the electrical changes caused by abdominal muscles. When the urine volume in the bladder reaches a certain level, the DOTE device gently vibrates to remind the elderly user to urinate. In a simple way, this device helps maintain the dignity of elderly people.
