Soft drink bottle

Coca-Cola enlisted the world’s top bartenders to bring mixology to consumers by creating four new mixers. The packaging design also involved creating a brand identity, activation, and shopper marketing. Coca-Cola Signature Mixers draws on the craft at the heart of the brand. The designers modeled their concept on the idea of "unlocking creative experimentation," combining the familiarity of Coke with modern mixology. For the bottle, the designers channeled the creativity of Coke’s inventor, Dr. Pemberton, and repurposed one of the first glass bottle designs from 1899. The product launched in the on- and off-trade In the UK and Spain initially and is now being rolled out across Europe, considered to be Coca-Cola's biggest innovation in years

iF Gold Statement

This thoughtfully executed design draws on the craft at the heart of the brand’s origins. Influenced by one of the first Coke bottles, the authentic typography is outstanding. The design responds beautifully to the influence of craft spirits, adopting apothecary cues, using handmade paper, a black brand logotype and individual signatures from the mixologists who created the recipes.
