DualFlip is a laptop PC equipped with a top loading optical disk player, but still as slim as laptops without an optical drive. The keyboard is reinforced and designed as a top protection hood to be flipped up to access the optical drive. Meanwhile, the optical drive player can be replaced by other module units such as an extra battery or HDD, according to the user’s needs. The top loading behavior is similar to the experience of opening an engine hood, not only intuitive to use, but also helpful in reducing device thickness.
