DUO
DUO is a portable EFT POS device supporting use for a larger part of society and offering users multisensory feedback with improved security and privacy. Through the use of tactile, audible and visual feedback, DUO offers two-way use to meet the different needs of vendors and payers. While the vendor’s side includes touch screen and feedback related to status of payment, the payer’s side focuses on tactile interaction and cognitive ergonomics. Two-sided use not only differentiates DUO from its competitors, but also provides control over the process. DUO helps payers to make money transactions independently without any additional help.
Considering that mobile payments can be more and more prevalent than ever, this design implies a caring consideration to the minor people's need, meanwhile the rotatable display indicates a smart UX feature through the connection of software and hardware factors.
WINNER STATEMENTIt was a moment of relief for me, because I can never stop questioning my work after a project's finished, which becomes overwhelming at times. However, having been awarded such a prestigious accolade, I feel that I have had the confirmation of adequacy for my work.
