Energy chain system
The new alternative to the cable drum is a unique combination of two energy supply systems: a standard e-chain® is rolled up on a spool, always ensuring the correct length and tension by means of an integrated retaining spring. The “twisterband” connects the rotating spool to the static suspension – the interface to the permanently laid cables. In contrast to cable drums, the e-spool is able to operate without a slip ring or special draw wire guides. A redesign of the slip rang can therefore be omitted when changing the filling, also allowing for the uninterrupted guidance of media in addition to data and energy.
