Office building

The design exposes wood elements as much as possible to make the best use of the raw lumber and allow visitors to feel the beautiful texture of Ezo pine, a local tree typically found in Hokkaido. The wooden HP shell roof, which captures and reflects the natural scenery of light from morning to afternoon onto the space surrounded by the forest of columns, opens up new possibilities for the conventional post and beam structure. The designers aimed to create a simple and beautiful wooden structure using custom-made hardware.
