Easy Escape
Rescue equipment
When a building needs to be evacuated in a hurry, for example in the event of a fire or earthquake, people on the upper floors often cause dangerous delays because they are unsure how to use an escape chute. "Easy Escape" provides a more intuitive alternative. It comprises a spiral escape airbag, which allows people to climb down as they would descend a ladder. Whatever time may be lost in the slower descent is compensated for by the fact that more than one user can use the Easy Escape at once. It can also be extended in length depending on distance from the ground.
Easy Escape allows an emergency exit to be added to most new buildings. Therefore, there is nothing new in the form as it already features frequently in children's playgrounds. Its distinctive form and vivid colors means that its location can be easily identified both inside and outside the building. This, too, can speed up the efficiency of the rescue tremendously. In the near future, this could be a mandatory feature of all buildings.
