The General Objective was to contribute to improving health conditions and socio-economic recovery of vulnerable households in Burundi The Specific Objectives were: 1. Set up the access to drinking water and sanitation for the inhabitants of Rukanda hill 2. Strengthen the capacities of the population of Rukanda hill in the sustainable management of the water 3. Strengthen the economic capacities of the population to facilitate financial participation in the maintenance of drinking water supply infrastructure The approach used is based in the access to drinking water, as a human right, helping to reduce vulnerability to disease.
