Ecrin

Glass container

The collection is inspired by the Earth Pyramids of Ritten, a very unique formation of the local landscape. Balancing a round stone on top of another volume was the fascinating idea behind the design. Ecrin is a collection of containers in three sizes with a stone-like lid on top. The lids are smooth like river stones and are blown in colored glass. The bases of the containers are handmade in thick glass to contrast with the lightness of the lids. It is a composition of volumes, colors and space in glass.
