In Niseko, most houses have small, closed windows and divided rooms to endure the severe winter, limiting air and connection. This project achieves a continuous, open interior through high insulation and airtight construction. High-performance timber windows bring dynamic openness, while the reinterpreted engawa creates a seamless threshold between inside and out, connecting daily life directly to the landscape.
