This lens boasts the world's widest* ultra-wide angle photography, at 11 mm. Users can make creative worlds with wider angles than ever, imaging that suppresses distortion to the corners of the picture, a strong sense of perspective and an expression that closes in on the subject. For a design that is immediately recognizable as an ultra-wide angle zoom lens, the diameter is narrowed from the wide diameter lens in the front down to the mount in the back. These proportions emphasize the world's largest diameter aspherical lens (outline Φ87 mm). *Excludes fish-eye lenses, as an interchangeable lens for single-lens reflex / mirrorless cameras.
