Elegance from Past to Future

Exhibition design

This exhibition commemorates the centenary of the Turkish Republic, highlighting women's attire from the late Ottoman and early republican periods. Placing women at the forefront, it was a formidable task to accomplish at the Abdulmecid Efendi Mansion, an antiquated structure lacking the essential spaces and museum infrastructure. Despite challenges like climate, sound, lighting, and contaminant control, we successfully addressed them. We've crafted a visitor experience akin to a fashion show, imbued with a vibrant atmosphere complemented by bespoke music and video installations, all to mark this significant milestone in Turkish history.
