The mission of the Glass Studio renovation was to challenge the existing isolated, expressionless building and discover a brand new type of exhibition/performance space. A new façade and massing are introduced through the delicate approach to material, scale, viewing experience, structure, circulation, sustainable design. This not only successfully overcomes the limits of a narrow interior space, but expands the auditorium to the exterior and provides an extraordinary scene of real-time glassmaking.
