“EnBW EnyCity” is the energy city of the future, conceptually developed by Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) and representing an effective contribution to a mitigation of global climate change. This model systematically integrates and optimizes the energy consumption characteristics of aspects like architecture, power distribution networks, infrastructure and energy generation. identis implemented this concept in the form of a three-dimensional exhibit which is vertically mounted and controlled via a terminal. The user can use navigation controls to influence various parameters and produce ideal scenarios, learning about the complexity of energy-optimized urban planning in the process.
