Escape from The Cold

Rescue equipment

Escape from the Cold is a product that combines the functions of a life buoy and a hot air balloon. Like traditional life buoys, it is made of lightweight materials in a smaller proportion, and like a hot air balloon it takes advantage of the lifting properties of hot air. This product solves the problem of cold sea water in an emergency rescue scenario. Escape from the Cold is not only a novel design, but is relatively cheap and easy to produce and could save many lives

JURY STATEMENT

The basic idea is innovative: lifting crash victims out of dangerous cold water while they await rescue. Though the design still requires considerable technical development the principle is excellent and potentially life-saving.

WINNER STATEMENT

Life is the most precious gift. I love designing new life-enhancing innovations, and am grateful to my teachers and everyone who has made this possible. In the future, I will work harder to improve my professional skills and strive to create more excellent design.
