Spatial Installation for a Trade Fair Booth

ARAKAWA & CO., LTD.

EVER ORIGIN is a spatial installation created for a joint trade fair booth. Fusing advanced 3D printing with a wire grip system, it forms a luminous tree—3 meters in diameter and 3.7 meters high—suspended by over 600 tensioned wires. More than 180 cellulose acetate resin parts create a structure where stillness and spatial tension coexist. Inspired by resin’s transformation from sap to amber, the piece explores the dialogue between industrial technique and primal beauty. By embracing the material’s natural irregularity, it redefines 3D printing as a culturally expressive tool—proposing new directions for material and spatial design.
