In 2020, the pandemic brought the travel industry to a standstill. People could no longer travel to different countries to explore new locations or experience new cultures. Like many other countries, Korea Tourism and its businesses took a big hit. Realizing that the virus would not go away anytime soon, The Korea Tourism Organization had to look for new solutions for people to explore the country. We created Kingdom Friends to become the organization's mascots to travel around Korea to deliver an indirect digital experience for people who cannot come and visit.
