Explore the Ocean – Interactive Scientific Poster

Interactive scientific poster

The new interactive scientific poster "Explore The Ocean" was designed to allow scientists from the Helmholtz Centre for Marine Research to explain complex ocean research on board the new expedition ships of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. Detailed 3D animations and extensive data visualizations explain problems and processes in the world’s oceans in a clearly comprehensible way. Spoken audio comments facilitate self-study of the poster, which is divided into four chapters and 15 episodes. This rich presentation makes multiple visits rewarding as there is always something new to discover.

iF Gold Statement

This is what is possible when designers and scientists collaborate. The project illustrates complex information about the ocean in a very intuitive way. Important science presented visually and comprehensively, with a sophisticated design that goes deep into the details. An absolute highlight!
