EXPO Shanghai 2010 Deutscher Pavillon

Show in the "Energy Source"

The highlight of “balancity”, the German EXPO pavilion, is a nine minute interactive show featured in the “Energy Source”. 600 people experience how together they can set a huge sphere, fitted with more than 400,000 LEDs, in motion simply with their calls. The mechanics and movement of the sphere are controlled by acoustic assessment of the audience’s sound. Through the images on the sphere, visitors themselves build a city for the future, in which everyone will enjoy living and where everything has its place. The interactive sphere is an unusual combination of engineering achievement and playful experience.
