Folded plate stair

Variable stairs system. The enormous durability of the timber joints and the special wooden sandwich material form the basis of a unit which is so stable that only three fixing points are needed on the outer side. Other stairs systems need joints to be fixed on each step. Any form of construction is possible (straight, coiled, asymmetrical, oval, free form), without requiring a supporting wall (suspension suffices). This allows for staircase “sculptures” without the price reaching explosive limits. This construction is the first folded plate stair achieving such high levels of stability. The EU qualification approval was granted 2008.
