FDM(FINE DUST MIRROR)

IoT App Service

FDM (Fine Dust Mirror) offers the best response to fine dust. The only action to it for now is wearing a mask. But many neglects it even lots of fine dust. Problems are people don't realize they don't bring the mask until they go out, and they just ignore wearing it. So, our priority is to make people recognize the danger of fine dust and help them wear the mask. FDM is attachable to the front door, for it is the final stage to go out. It shows the real-time fine dust level so that one must not forget to wear the mask. Besides, the app with an IoT device gives the exact level to the user outside and also tell him the mask using pattern.

JURY STATEMENT

This IOT device tackles a problem of metropolitan cities : fine dust. By integrating the solution of measuring, communicating and applying the mask into a daily object like a mirror at the front door, people can be easily motivated to use the mask more often.

WINNER STATEMENT

I'm so honored to be the winner of the iF Design Talent Award. For me, who studies design, this is one of the most valuable moments in my life. I will take this as a stepping stone in my design career. Going forward, I will work hard as ever to become a designer that can contribute to the people and society.
