FEZH was inspired by Fes El Bali, the oldest city in Morocco. In Fes El Bali, ten houses form a single unit, sharing a communal bakery and a well a structure where these minimal living units come together to create a city. Similarly, (FEZH) aims to form a “city of minimal units” by bringing together essential elements for a healing community. Through shared spaces such as a plaza, gallery-style shops, a library for music and books, retreat areas, and a weekend market, it functions as a small city of its own.
