Educational Board Game
Disaster prevention education tends to be orally disseminated in Taiwan. The knowledge is hard to understand. Besides, it has been incorporated in Curriculum Guidelines but teachers lack relevant knowledge and interesting materials makes implementation difficult. By participating in the Taiwan Design Research Institute’s project OHHHH Disaster Preparedness- Social Design Implementation, we created the teaching aid Match Cat to enhance the nation’s awareness and to improve the educational environment. This game stimulating fire situations with vivid characters lets players experience the situations and there’s a concept review at the end.
