FireArc
Fire Extinguisher
We should not take any chances when it comes to fire safety. Chancing upon the idea of using chemical reaction to inflate a lifejacket, which is another object related to safety, resulted in the idea of using a simple twisting action and the creation of an instant chemical reaction, such as bicarbonate salts and acid, to produce a large amount of carbon dioxide (CO2). This idea can be incorporated into fire extinguishers to facilitate use. With the FIREARC extinguisher, there is no longer an expiry date as the substance used is stored separately in a non-pressurized form and only mixed when needed.
Well designed, easy to understand and to maintain.
WINNER STATEMENTWinning the iF STUDENT DESIGN AWARD is a true encouragement for my design career and it also confirms that designing useful products has value. With this encouragement, I will continue to explore further opportunities.
