Smart Assistant

Bad posture is a growing problem in modern society, the result of sedentary lifestyles, stress, and repetitive strain. Since it is difficult for many people to attend in-person physical therapy sessions, FIZI makes it possible to perform a guided physical therapy routine in one’s own home. It teaches the user corrective exercises through visual, auditory, and written cues, analyzes their movements via the Kinect camera, and provides feedback to help them perform the exercises correctly. FIZI also functions as a smart assistant, displaying the time, calendar appointments and weather, and playing music.

JURY STATEMENT

This design is fun and approachable. It has great potential to improve the general health of pregnant women, people recovering from injuries, the elderly, and anyone with posture problems.
