FLOAT (Farming Lab on a Trough) is a vertical urban farming system with an elegant design, sustainable construction, and integrated irrigation. A lightweight yet sturdy bamboo structure supports a network of 3D printed biopolymer trough-planters and conceals the nutrient distribution systems. The system is designed to integrate food production into existing and new buildings or function as a standalone structure.
