A delicate musical memoire feels like the flickers of light and shadow in a nice afternoon. The pattern was created by the pianist’s wetting her fingers with olive oil, then playing Debussy on a sheet of paper. The oily trace of the playing was then transformed onto the translucent paper by screen printing. When held under sunlight, the paper gives up its secret: music made visible.
