Destination control system
Floor NAVI allows you to specify which floor you wish to go to before entering an elevator. The system efficiently bundles the desired destinations, allowing users to enter the car that will ascend or descend most quickly to their floor. Since you don't need to push buttons in the car, there is no uncomfortable jostling and teaching for the control panel after entering a congested elevator. Iconic ring-shaped icons and a chest-high operation panel further augment ease and comfort of use. Toshiba used a full-scale mock-up to test usability for various types of people, including those in wheelchairs. Finally, someone has taken the stress out of elevator rides.
