Fookis - Biomaterials Toy Set

Biomaterial product design based on food waste

This project utilizes food by-products, including shrimp shells, eggshells, and fruit peels, as eco-friendly biomaterials. It explores their potential as sustainable alternatives to industrial plastics and reveals how a more creative approach to waste can contribute to a sustainable lifestyle. These educational toys, made from 100% biodegradable materials, are designed for children aged 3 to 6.

JURY STATEMENT

Fookis transforms food waste into durable, biodegradable toys, making sustainability a hands-on experience for kids. By combining responsible production with education and play, it fosters environmental awareness while delivering a fun learning experience. A multifaceted and highly meaningful design.

WINNER STATEMENT

It is a great honor to receive the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD. Thank you for recognizing my project and for drawing attention to the importance of sustainable biomaterials and children's health. This honor encourages me to continue exploring this meaningful field.
