The UMTS-Box is a new solution to improve both indoor wireless coverage and capacity for 3G. The product can support all kinds of mobile devices with voice and data services. To give this product category a form for the consumer the design demands a new typology. Modems and related products visually do not blend in the home environment and require heavy tools for mounting. As a result they end up on the floor in the cable tangle. To elevate Form Playn from this unwanted scenario, the shape should inspire infinite possibilities of placement. The rubber coating and Velcro for mounting enable the product to rest securely in any position.
