Fourth Generation iPod

Mac and PC compatible digital music player

Apple

The Fourth Generation iPod has incorporated the touch-sensitive Apple Click Wheel that debuted on the iPod mini. The Click Wheel makes it faster to select playlists, scroll through songs and find things easier. The new generation iPod can hold up to 10,000 songs, offers twelve hours of battery life and only weighs 5.6 ounces yet is slightly thinner than past generation iPods. There is a new option on the main menu called Shuffle Songs. This option randomly plays songs that are stored in your music library. It takes five seconds or less to transfer music from an entire CD to an iPod. iPod provides up to 40GB of storage. The FireWire or USB 2.0 cable that comes with iPod can be used to copy files or fast charge the iPod (in as little as two hours) minimizing the number of cables and ports needed. iPod works seamlessly with iTunes, which lets you easily build and manage your digital music collection.
