Whirlpool Corporation

Whirlpool’s FreshConnect Concept is a vision for food conservation that integrates products and services into a true fresh food experience. The system consists of a set of accessories (designed specifically for each type of food) and a central cooling system. The containers are optimized in size and sensor technology guarantees minimal energy consumption. An online ordering system delivers local fresh food directly from the supplier to the user’s doorstep. Orders are collected centrally and deliveries are coordinated for optimized eco-transportation. Products stay fresh throughout the delivery by the use of specialized insulated delivery bags.
