As the ancients said, "To have nothing is to have plenty." We wanted the employees of the Design Centre to work in a simple space, where they could see the essence of what they were doing and develop a sensitivity to the fragility and preciousness of the natural world. It is a place where people can work and immerse themselves in the design they produce. This stands in contrast to the many "dynamic" offices that exist today, where the main focus is on communication. The materials used are untreated, and the only elements are beams and pillars. Everyone works facing away to reduce the risk of droplet infection and improve concentration.
